He may be quite reluctant to sacrifice his independent life but sooner is better in this case. Because both of you have to undergo lots of stress while rearing child(s) and this is best time for you.
- Determination
Determine yourself to lead a healthy pregnancy. You need to gain at least 10-12 kilos of weight more or less throughout pregnancy. But definitely not more than that. Too much weight means too difficulty to lose pregnancy weight. And you may never fit into your best clothes that suit you now.
