How to keep my hair lustrous during Winter

Chill is very much there in the air. And it is playing spoil-sport to your hair too! It looks lovely when keep hair open and it adds warmth to our being. But chilling winter-breeze is not just cooperating. Party seaon is on and so is experimenting with hair and looks. So here are some tips to keep hair healthy during winter.

Take warm bath but use only room temperature water for washing your mane. People tend to wash hair with the same hot/very warm water that they use to wash body during winter. But if you want not to destry the texture of your hair than stop using hot water to your hair. The hot water robs off the natural oil from our glands and hair becomes dry and rough.

Winter makes us lazy. We need more care, but chill does not allow us to use cold water more often. Hence the same person who washes hair daily in the summer tends to wash hair only once or twice a week. This makes hair dirty and easy prey of dandruff. If you do not use any head cover scarf or bandana during day time then make it point to wash your hair three times a week.

Using a conditioner after each hair-wash is a must. This helps to keep our hair soft and more manageable.

Oiling your hair regularly is a good idea. It helps in blood circulation in the scalp and your hair feel rejuvinated.

My Tip for great winter hair: Wear a bandana during day-time. It covers your hair from harsh mid-day sun and chiiling wind.
