Today the trend is that dump everything at the very first opportunity. We need to think of getting bored constantly. Otherwise we would be lagging behind. We change hairstyles, get make-overs for our ward-robe, for our bed-rooms, for our living rooms and so on.
Just think of life-style products. The moment you have bought one and get it settled at your bed room, you start thinking of another. Even though you have bought the latest models of LCD, LED or whatever TV chances are that someone somewhere is buying a better model than that of yours. Is it possible to keep a pace with the changing trends of technology??
We get our living rooms done. For a couple of days it appears to be a heavenly decor. You want your frineds to visit your place. But afer a few days it seems to be so monotonous. You start of dreaming of a new sofa or if not possible a new throws for your existing sofas. Why this?
I think this happens because of a slow but steady mental pressure of advertising world. We see better life partners of our daily soap heroine, and get upset with our real life partners, because they are not-so-romantic! We see better households, well-decorated, even a thief has better lifestyle products than that of ours! We see moms who are so compromising, ever so ready for their kids(grown up kids I mean!!). And not to mention those 30 something moms of 22 year old sons and daughters! Thus we start blaming ourselves for those extra flabs that we put on as a natural way of getting older.
To compensate our non-glamouros existence we just try relentlessly to project ourselves as most sought after ones. This is how we loss ourselves in search of a better lifestyle.
